Preparing for your first wedding photographer
One thing I really enjoy the most about being a photographer is the opportunity I receive from working with couples and helping make their vision of their special day a reality. Like many things, to have the most success on your big day, you have to be prepared and have a plan.
When I work with couples, I always make sure to set up a consultation way before the wedding to make sure we are both on the same page. I want to know timelines, shot lists, who you want paired with who in what picture. The better prepared I am as a photographer for your event, the more setup for success we will all be.
The first thing I do with any couple is setup a location to speak with the two of you and get an idea of what kind of vibe we are going for. I always encourage communication and a vision board for your wedding. The easiest way to go about this is using Pinterest to shoot over creative ideas so we can share a creative flow.
I also like to inquire about the wedding party, family members and friends who you want to be in your group pictures. I like to encourage and help in any way I can because I understand that weddings are a lot of work to plan and execute. Anything I can do to ease the process, I will absolutely do everything in my power to make it a successful day.
The best thing you can do as a couple is come up with every possible scenario that you can think of and want captured. I am always seeking out opportunities to find those candid moments for you to look back on and love the images that are provided. To book your next wedding event, contact me via the contact form and lets set up a consultation. I would love to chat with you and make your special day the most memorable day of your life.
